Henry's Upstairs has been a local favorite for over 20 years in Lawrence, Kansas. The bar fell under new ownership in 2020, and the new owners sought out fresh new branding to match the fresh new interior. Henry's has been a place of community and inclusivity, especially for the LGBTQ+ community. When rebranding we wanted to reflect the roots of what the orginal owners strove to create. The color palette reflects a muted and mature version of the pride flag.

Henry's Upstairs is connected to a downstairs Coffee Shop, Grounded Coffee, under the same ownership. The branding for each businesss are opposites, dark and colorful vs. light and bright, while still being cohesive using the same typeface and graphic style across collateral.
